This is me with my Stage Name “Tim West”…I made this CD especially for the many Nursing and Residential Homes that I entertain at (and still do). It features many friends who accompany me namely: Richard Spong (fiddle / mandolin), Bing Lyle (accordion), Ivor George (guitar / backing vocals) and Maria Cunningham and Tim Ellis (backing / harmony vocals). The song “Rare Ould Times” by Pete St. John was sent to me from Val Wagstaff, in cassette form, from Belfast. I remember being one of the first to sing it here in Sussex before it became so well-known and to this day it is one of Bing and my favourite songs to perform live. There are 7 of my compositions on this CD (Tracks 1,4,5,6,9,11 and 12). The CD back picture is of me sitting by The Banks of the River Loire in France which inspired my song.
