Madhurst Brass Band 2012 at the Madhurst Festival
This is the second year that Alistair Gibson has invited 40 young talented brass players to take part in his orchestra specially formed for this festival in Midhurst, Sussex.
My partner Lucie is playing cornet and this is an edited film of the whole 2 hour concert which featured two World Premiere compositions and a Last Night of The Proms set.
The setting was a sunny Capron House Gardens with a very appreciative audience. Thank you Alistair for a wonderful and exciting show. More next year!
Irish Session at O’Muruchu’s
A fantastic session I took part in during our family stay in County Kerry, Ireland.
This was in O’Muruchu’s Bar in Kenmare and featured John, Noreen, Martin, Gerry and Paudi plus loads of other musicians.
Tim Kent Sings ‘Dublin in the Rare Ould Times’
This is me singing ‘Dublin in the Rare Ould Times’ (by Pete St. John) at another super Irish Session we had in Crowley’s Bar in Kenmare during our family holiday.
Thanks to John and Noreen and Anne for their accompaniment.
Anna Ryder at Amberley Acoustic Music Club
One of my favourite singer / songwriter / entertainers performing to a small but very appreciative audience at The George and Dragon Pub in Houghton, Sussex, home to The Amberley Acoustic Music Club.
“They Were The Few”
“They Were The Few” – A song about The Battle of Britain
© Barry Turner / Tim Kent – Arranged for Brass / Wind Band by Richard Baker
This is a world premier of this song sung here by Tim Kent with the Petworth Town Band during their concert at the Billingshurst Centre, West Sussex.
They were the few
They were the few
They stood alone against
The enemy so that
Freedom might win through…..
….They were the few
In their airforce blue
Let’s remember what
They did for me and you
This song is
Dedicated to the few.
