I observe people a lot and especially when I am entertaining them. Several years ago whilst playing to holiday audiences on a holiday Island in Denmark I particularly noticed that some people were more intoxicated than others and I thought of the times

When I had been away for holidays and the freedom I had away from home and restrictions of work etc. to drink whatever I liked at whatever time of day I liked too.

So when we are away on holiday what do we spend our holiday money on? Mainly food and booze. This song is about drinking and mixing your drinks all day and suffering the consequences. Enjoy!
