Paul Downes, singer / songwriter and one of the outstanding guitarists on the British folk circuit, made a welcome return to Brighton playing at The Brighton Acoustic Sessions, (hosted admirably by Stuart Reed), at The Lord Nelson Inn, Trafalgar Street, Brighton, East Sussexs on Monday 2nd March 2009. The back room of this enchanting pub gives low atmospheric light so this video was shot using a ‘Nightshot Plus’ function. Paul Downes gave us a lovely mixture of old and new songs and aptly demonstrated his guitar-playing skills throughout. Paul’s audience, which included many friends and faces from ‘the good old days’, was thoroughly entertained. Thanks Paul for another excellent evening’s entertainment!
