Alan Wheeler and Anne Sartain, well-known Sussex folkies, with a lovely CD which shows off their talents well. The cover design is from a painting by Anne.
This CD I recorded partly at Alan and Anne’s house in Horsham and partly at Lynn Archer-Wills’ house in West Chiltington, West Sussex.
Anne and Alan specialise in melody and harmony, accompanying their voices with both 6 and 12 string guitars, 12 string mandolin, penny whistles, recorders and baglarma (which is a Greek instrument). Bonnie Burdon backs some of the songs with impeccable harmonies and I add keyboards to track 8
